ICM found node PRODDB to be down. Adding it to the list of unavailable nodes.

    Question asked by Sanjay :

    Hi Hemant sir,

I am facing following error in Internal Concurrent Manager log

Internal Concurrent Manager found node PRODDB to be down. Adding it to the list of unavailable nodes.

Is this a PCP Setup. This error would come when the ICM cannot come up one one node as its not available / cannot ping the node; In this case the ICM would shift to the second node as long as FNDIMON is configured. So the error itself in the log file tells you about this situation.

If your ICM is not coming up , or you are currently experiencing a problem ,

    a) please attach the ICM and the FNDSM log file.
    b) Is this a new setup or configuration , or has this error come on an instance that was working fine before.
    c) Is this a recurring error still seen in the log , or has this error come earlier , but has now stopped coming.

If its a new configuration of PCP , please review :

    Hi Sanjay ,

If PRODDB is the concurrent manager Node and If this is NOT a production enviroment , then
run fnd_conc_clone.setup_clean and run autoconfig on all the application tiers .. there could be an invalid Node / IP entry in FND_NODES table.

For Procedural details : Refer to [URL="http://www.reachdba.com/showthread.php?288-How-to-cleanup-FND_NODES-table-to-clear-corrupted-setup&highlight=fnd_conc_clone"]How-to-cleanup-FND_NODES-table-to-clear-corrupted-setup/URL]
