    Regarding Storage Fibre Channel

What we use in industry a Fibre Channel storage with tapes or SATA drives as a storage device? What would be the optimal solution in terms of data availability and scalability?

Fibre Channel has become the standard connection type for storage area networks (SAN) in enterprise storage.
For Availability and Scalability on Storage , we use RAID (with/or) a Volume Manager.

For Oracle Databases , ASM also offers the striping(or similar) and mirroring features.
