RemoteOperationException: ERROR: NMO not setuid-root (Unix-only)

when i wanna startup database by http://localhost:1158/em I got the following

    Error Message
RemoteOperationException: ERROR: NMO not setuid-root (Unix-only)

The solution which worked for me:-

    [root@localhost ~]# su - oracle
    [oracle@localhost ~]$ cd $ORACLE_HOME/bin
    [oracle@localhost bin]$ ls -la nm?
    -rwxrwsrwx 1 oracle oinstall 18218 Jan 19 11:14 nmb
    -rwxrwsrwx 1 oracle oinstall 19320 Jan 19 11:14 nmo

    [root@localhost u01]# chown rootinstall /u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/bin/nmo
    [root@localhost u01]# chown rootinstall /u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/bin/nmb
    [root@localhost u01]# chmod 6750 /u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/bin/nmo
    [root@localhost u01]# chmod 6750 /u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/bin/nmb
    [root@localhost u01]#

and then i again opened my EM and it worked.

If i am not wrong the same error can be corrected if root.sh script is executed again

but when i executed the root.sh script i got the following error,

    [root@localhost ~]# sh /u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/root.sh
/u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/root.sh: line 41: syntax error near unexpected token `set'
    /u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/root.sh: line 41: `if ("$ORASID" == '' ) set ORASID='*''

    but why?

Please try to run root.sh after setting the ORACLE_HOME and the ORACLE_SID environment variables for your database.
Its not required for running root.sh as root , but I would want to see if this is what the script is looking for.
