    Please check to see if the package is installed :
    If not , please install.

    rpm -qa | grep libstdc++-libc

    Also, which OS are you using.

    Pls send the output of :
    ls -l /tmp/RapidInstall/jre/Linux/1.4.2//bin/jre

    most probably oracle user does not have executable privs on the file

    Sir
    Installation through root user not oracle user in (OEL .os)
    below the installation steps

    [root@oracle tmp]# ls -l /tmp/RapidInstall/jre/Linux/1.4.2//bin/jre
    -rwxr--r-- 1 root root 24596 Sep 19 14:50 /tmp/RapidInstall/jre/Linux/1.4.2//bin/jre

    After that i have tried to give the full permission on jre this error message is occured ,to review the error.

    [root@oracle tmp]# chmod -R 777 /tmp/RapidInstall/jre/Linux/1.4.2//bin/jre
