    Oracle Discoverer 4i is crashing

    After succesfully patching the Developer 6i the discoverer is crashing when I am trying to start the service with adstrtctl.sh. The error is given below. Any solution is highly appreciated.

    Please set :

    export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19

    and then try to start the discoverer services.

    same issue

    Hi I am also having the same problem what masood previously had.
    But when i am setting the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL parameter the issue is not resolved and
    after setting the ld_assume_kernel parameter even my ls command is not working.

    some how dis. service is stopped but when i start the addisctl.sh the same old problem still persist.

    i have installed oracle 11i on my virtual machine.

    This LD_ASSUME_KERNEL is only meant for linux 4. Installing Apps 11i on Linux 5 requires some OS level prerequisite. Plz follow this link:
