    Loss of Non-System datafile in a Database (User Managed Recovery)

    Recover in open mode if database is open mode.

    Steps --

    SQL> alter database datafile '/u02/home/dbtest/users01.dbf' offline ;

    Database altered.
    ( NOTE : Status in v$datafile would be RECOVER )

    SQL> alter database datafile '/u02/home/dbtest/users02.dbf' offline ;
    ( NOTE : Status in v$datafile would be RECOVER )

    Database altered.

    $cp /u02/home/backups/weekly/dbtest/hot/users01.dbf /u02/home/dbtest/
    $cp /u02/home/backups/weekly/dbtest/hot/users02.dbf /u02/home/dbtest/

    SQL> ALTER DATABASE RECOVER datafile '/u02/home/dbtest/users01.dbf' ;
    Media recovery complete.
    ( NOTE : Status in v$datafile would be OFFLINE )
    SQL> ALTER DATABASE RECOVER datafile '/u02/home/dbtest/users02.dbf' ;
    Media recovery complete.
    ( NOTE : Status in v$datafile would be OFFLINE )

    SQL> alter database datafile '/u02/home/dbtest/users01.dbf' online ;

    Database altered.

    SQL> alter database datafile '/u02/home/dbtest/users02.dbf' online ;

    Database altered.
